Prague is a beautiful city, very historical, romantic, and just one of a kind. It is often nicknamed as a “city of hundreds of spires”, due to its number of churches and towers. You’ll also notice that Prague has many nice green spaces and bridges over the Vltava. Apart from emerging yourself in the historic core, and admiring the beautiful buildings and the surroundings, let me share with you some tips from where you can admire Prague panoramically. It will take your breath away how beautiful Prague is even from the top, looking at those bridges one after another, the spires, or even those evenly nice red roofs of buildings.

1. Old Town Hall tower

The Old Town Hall tower is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city. Located on the Old Town square, established in 1338 as the seat for Old Town administration. This 70m high tower with the astronomical clock is a dominant feature not only of this square but also of the city of Prague. By getting up to the tower, you’ll get a panoramic view of the entire square and the city’s historical core.

2. Letná Park

Letná Park is a large park on Letná hill, built on a plateau above steep embankments along the Vltava River in Prague. The greenery space is popular for people to come to relax, picnic, or go for unparalleled views of the city. From here you can especially see the river and its numerous bridges. You can get a panoramic view from many points in the park, especially from the Hanavský Pavilion – a unique cast-iron building with a restaurant.

3. Terasa u Prince restaurant

This is a popular “grammable” spot of many Instagrammers that you might have seen online already. This hotel with a rooftop bar and restaurant is located on Old Town Square and it gives you a nice view of the square from the top.

4. Along the wall around Prague Castle

Without a doubt, the walk around the walls of Prague Castle is exposing you to the beautiful historic city. You can also visit Starbucks or various restaurants around Prague castle to enjoy further the views.

5. National Memorial on Vítkov Hill

The National Memorial on Vítkov Hill reflects the historical experience of the Czech state. Its origins date back to the period after World War I, when the idea to build a monument to the Czechoslovak Legion was born.

6. The Vrtba Garden

The beautiful gardens are tucked away in the Mala Strana neighborhood. The garden style is in a fine baroque designed by František Maximilian Kaňka around 1720. The gardens are small, on a slope behind Prague Castle. However, you will be surprised how this unique architectural design on an irregular slope gave such as decoration rank.

7. WeWork rooftop

If you are working or know who works in WeWork, you should check out the newly opened WeWork office in Prague with this large open rooftop with views of Prague Castle and its surrounding. The rooftop is just located on the 7th floor, but this building is the highest in the area. Hence why the views without any buildings are blocked by it.

8. Dancing house rooftop restaurant

The Ginger & Fred Restaurant is a modern artistic restaurant on the uppermost floor of the Dancing Building. The Dancing House building is definitely a must-see while in Prague for architecture lovers, and if you are seeking a place to dine with views, consider checking their rooftop for some panoramic views of the riverside or Prague Castle.

9. Vyšehrad

Vyšehrad is a historic fort in Prague, on the east bank of the Vltava River. It was probably built in the 10th century. Inside the fort is the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul and the Vyšehrad Cemetery, containing the remains of many famous Czechs, such as Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Karel Čapek, and Alphonse Mucha. It also contains Prague’s oldest Rotunda of St. Martin, from the 11th century.

10. Petřín Hill

Petřín hillside park leads to a panoramic city view. You can either climb up or take a cable car to go up. Up on the hill, you can visit a mirror maze attraction or climb the 19th-century Petrin tower, which resembles France’s Eiffel Tower (just a much smaller version). Close by, you can also visit Štefánik Observatory which has an astronomy exhibition, or while on the border of the park, check out the Strahov Monastery houses an ornate library and a centuries-old brewery.

11. Alongside the river bank

You can get pretty good views from the ground too, like walking alongside the river bank or getting on any bridge. Whether you are on Naplanka or around Charle’s bridge, Prague is beautiful from so many angles.

12. Klementinum

Klementinum is a historical complex building that used to be a monastery that was transformed into a Jesuit college. In 1622 the Jesuits transferred the library of Charles University to the Klementinum, and the college was merged with the University in 1654. The Jesuits remained until 1773 when the Klementinum was established as an observatory, library, and university by the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. Apart from visiting the beautiful library, you can also get up to the tower to get an amazing 360 view of Prague.
