Beach Pintadinho
Praia Pintadinho sits just beyond the mouth of the River Arada and is largely outside of the shelter from the breakwaters that protect Portimão. At the northern end of the beach are some typically wonderful Algarve rock formations including a number of caves worth exploring.
Praia da Angrinha
Praia da Angrinha is Ferragudo’s other beach, after Praia Grande. Located just beyond the headland that is home to the fort of São João de Arade the beach here sits on the bank of the river Arade looking across to the marina at Portimao. Beach Tres Irmaos
Praia dos Três Irmãos is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area of Portimão. It is famous for its stunning rock formations and the many hidden caves that can be explored. These cliffs and rocks on the beach give shelter and shadow, which can be nice when it is really warm. However, always watch out, because there is the danger of rockfall. The Meia Praia beach is the largest beach in the Lagos region, the 4km sand beach stretches from the city of Lagos on the western side all the way to the Odiáxere River mouth on the eastern side. The Meia Praia beach is bound by wide grassed sandbanks that open onto quiet roads with residential buildings and hotels around.
Beach Estudantes
Praia dos Estudantes is known for its Roman-style bridge right on the beach connecting two rock formations. This bridge is the most unique feature of Estudantes beach. It used to be part of the fortress of Pinhão, which doesn’t exist anymore. The beach itself is small, but connected with man-made tunnels to nearby beaches, like Praia da Batata.

Praia de Dona Ana
The Praia da Dona Ana is one of the other picturesque beaches of the Algarve and is a great location for your day on the beach. The Dona Ana beach is located to the south of Lagos and is situated within the limestone cliffs of the Ponta da Piedade headland. Praia do Camilo
Set down among truncated cliffs, Camilo Beach, covering a moderate area of sand, is reached via a stairway involving some 200 steps before you’ll get down to the sandy beach. Praia do Castelejo
Castelejo beach is located on the quieter, more exposed Atlantic coast of the Algarve. Being part of the Vicentine Coast natural park it feels a million miles away from the beaches of the south coast. The beach is dominated by the huge black schist cliffs that rise out of the golden sand. On some days this can feel like a very remote location, in the summer though it is quite a popular spot.

Bordeira’s beach is a very popular place on the west coast of the Algarve. The beach is located in the Costa Vicentina natural park, near the villages of Carrapateira and Bordeira.
