Cambridge is definitely a place I would recommend for people to visit! The last time I visited Cambridge was just for a day, but this year, I had the time and chance to visit this cute city once again and spend a night there. Spending the whole weekend in Cambridge allowed me to explore the city more thoroughly and enjoyed things that I haven’t. I have written my previous post on what to do in Cambridge so check it there. THE LOCATION

During my weekend stay, I stayed at University Arms Hotel, a hotel branch from Marriott, located just by Parker’s Piece Park, a short walk to the train station and to the city center. Cambridge city center is not large at all, and easily walkable distance to anywhere you need, or alternatively, you may rent a bike to ride around.

Just outside the hotel, there’s a large green park, ideal for a walk or just chilling. Our room was luckily facing towards the park. If you go out of the hotel, you’ll have a supermarket, bars, and restaurants, so you won’t be struggling to find food and drinks.

THE ROOM & INTERIOR

The whole hotel’s interior design has a British timeless touch to it, from flooring, art wall (a lot of frames!), and bookshelves, to the choice of furniture. Not to also mention, that their key color is Tiffany blue (oh, how I love this sophisticated color!), and been also obsessed with their chic timeless black-white-gold bathrooms. Just a pity, I didn’t get the one with a bathtub in it! Definitely go for that room, if you have a choice.

The room has everything that you need, from the coffee machine, and hair dryer to bath robes. Alternatively, this hotel also gave us an iron and iron board in the room, because a lot of the time, I have to always go ask them for one, and having an iron in the room makes everything so easy if all the clothes are always packed in the suitcase so it is definitely creasing.

THE FACILITIES

The staff was super friendly and check-in went smoothly once we arrived. Luckily enough, we were able to check in earlier than usual as well. Nevertheless, if you would arrive early before your room is ready, you can always leave your luggage with them at the reception.

The hotel has its own restaurant and gym for guests to use. I did not use any of their facilities unfortunately, as I didn’t have much time to spend indoors, so won’t be able to say much about it.

Overall, the whole check-in and check-out process was smooth, the hotel was like an Old British museum alike and I enjoyed the quiet time there!
