Switzerland

Switzerland is a great winter location for both skiers and non-skiers. There are many beautiful places to visit, see and do during this period of time. Don’t forget to prepare yourself the warmest layers and clothes when travelling there. If you chose to stay in a city or a mountain resort, January is a great time to visit, as you will avoid tourists, as well as prices, will be much cheaper after New Year and before Easter.

Bruges is a small medieval and lovely town in Belgium. January is a low season time for visitors. Hence you will have a nice quiet time there.  It is a great place for a calm, romantic winter getaway. However, if you do get bored, it is just a few hours away from major Belgian cities, like Antwerp or Brussels.

Gold Coast line is great for a road trip and chasing amazing beaches and waves. Since it is summer for them there, there are plenty of events and festivals going on. Hence, expect it will be a busy season both for visitors and locals.

Don’t forget that Maldives is an Islamic country, so dress appropriately when leaving outside of your resort which is on its own private island.

Salzburg
